Nya is a true island "Native", her family has lived on Martha's Vineyard for generations. Nya's grandfather owned one of the first black-owned businesses within the construction field on Martha's Vineyard. She is also member of the Wampanoag Tribe of Aquinnah ,the only recognized Indian tribe in Massachusetts. Nya's deep roots in the community translates into an unrivaled network and referral base. She has a background in marketing/sales and design and worked for years in the fashion industry prior to real estate. Nya returned to island full time in the year 2000 and began her career in real estate. She enjoys all the interesting facets of her business and also loves interior design. She offers her clients home staging as an added marketing tool. An accredited Home Stager and REALTOR ®, Nya can advise sellers on how to highlight the best features of their property before putting it on the market. In working with buyers and sellers, she uses a consulting approach to focus on the needs and wants of all her clients. When she's not selling real estate, she spends time with her two children & husband. Nya's husband, Mark Clarke is a general contractor who owns and operates MV Hardwood floors and MV Ocean Sports. These combined businesses create a nice synergy when assisting Nya's rental customers and her seller and buyer clients.
She has been a licensed Massachusetts real estate broker for over 25 years. Initially her work in the industry was in development, management, consulting and sales of large commercial and residential projects in the Boston area and throughout the northeast corridor. As Associate Professor of Boston University she lectured on the basics of real estate development. After a two year sojourn in Paris, Carmine moved to Martha's Vineyard in 1995 where she had been a long time summer resident. Christine, a New Englander from birth, has long-standing ties to Martha's Vineyard. Living on Island in the early 80's, Christine left for California to pursue her studies, get her degree and indulge her penchant for exotic world travel. She worked in the film industry in Southern California before returning full circle to the Island she now calls home. Christine's intimate knowledge of the Vineyard is combined with a genuine enthusiasm to help people achieve their goals. Jon is a licensed real estate broker with over 12 years of sales experience. In addition to being a broker, Jon owns Hartzband Property Management, a fully insured property management company that provides a wide range of care-taking services to Island homeowners. Jon received his degree from UNH and has many years of experience in both residential home building and project management. When not working on Real Estate or maintaining properties, Jon is typically spending time with his family on this beautiful Island -hiking, boating, surfing and enjoying the quality of life that the Vineyard has to offer. Ed has been a licensed real estate agent/broker faithfully serving many a client and customer in sales & rentals on the Vineyard since 1984. Ed moved to the Vineyard in 1981 from Falmouth active in the landscape design, construction, maintenance profession, continuing here as Ed Pierce Co. He has the knowledge of how things 'work' on the island knowledge that he brings to the real estate transaction for his client or customer. He has worked tirelessly for the REALTOR ® organization... being the 1994 President of the Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS ®, and had been named REALTOR ® of the Year in 1992. Ed joined Island-Wide Realty, Inc. in 1997, and has been recipient of many honors since that time. Ed continues his interest as the Tax assessor for the town of Edgartown along the real estate business. He is a wonderful resource for buyers and sellers.
Born and raised, An "Islander" Jennifer brings to the office her a wealth of knowlege of the island's history and its people. From one of the oldest island families and now raising her children on the vineyard - she can share with buyers , sellers and vacationers many aspects of island living! She has 13 years experience in bookingkeeping and has worked side by side with several island contractors on construction projects. Jennifer shares her love of the Vineyard with her husband and two children. Deeply connected to the community, Jen's husband is a high school football coach and works as property manager/caretaker. Jen offers a well- roundeded knowledge of the island construction and can assist in property management for vacation homes and investing on Marthas Vineyard.
Locally grown- Josh brings to the office the deep roots of an island heritage.
